If you’ve ever wondered why I keep coming back to Silverton Mountain’s Women’s Big Mountain Weekend and Sisters in the Steeps, it’s simple: the stoke is unmatched. Every year, I get to ride with an incredible crew of women — and sometimes even pros like the Moonrise Create team, Sierra Schlag, Hana Beaman, and more. There’s nothing like dropping into the San Juans with a crew of badass women, laughing the whole way down, and pushing yourself on terrain you won’t find anywhere else.
What Makes Silverton Magical
The heli drop — always the highlight. Flying over the San Juans with non-stop giggles, adrenaline, and wide-open terrain; pure joy. Not to mention an aerial view of the distinctive and rugged mountains in this range.
Unique, playful lines — steep, fun, sometimes ending in half-pipe style avalanche chutes that take you to the bottom, where the bus is waiting. And yes, they usually have killer tunes blasting — think The Dead or Led Zeppelin. 🎶
Ride side by side with pros & professional guides — learn, laugh, and push your limits with women who inspire you.

Women’s Big Mountain Weekend — Jan 16–18 2026
Two guided days + heli run = pure stoke. High intermediate and advanced riders get to explore big terrain safely, with guides making sure you can focus on the fun. Swag, avy gear, lunches, après, and raffles included.
Sisters in the Steeps — Apr 3–5 2026
Unguided and playful, this weekend is all about community, sisterhood, and discovering your lines. Meet new friends, ride steep terrain, and enjoy yoga, social events, swag, and après vibes.
